During my career, I have been assigned (and feel privileged) to work in classrooms where challenging children are present. I have learned a great deal about what makes these children tick.
I have also observed that some of our teaching colleagues seem to be a perfect fit for these challenging children, while other teachers seem to struggle. Most of us are not that perfect fit; however, the skills needed to successfully teach these children are both easy to learn and fun to implement. You won't learn these strategies in college because they are seldom taught to pre-service teachers. You can learn them from Time to Teach.
My staff inservice has been specifically designed for educators who are looking for answers -- who want to create a classroom climate conducive to learning ALL the time.
